“In a game each object gain several different properties,
a person can have more than one roles,
an idea may become true for a while
and any emotion is possible to create symbols or images.

Inspired by the TV universe,
for instance 90′s popular series “Oi Aparadektoi/The Unacceptables”
as well as earlier 80′s sequel “Roda, tsanta kai kopana/Wheel, schoolbag, skive”,
our will is to create game conditions (rather than a game)
in order to destroy the urban legend and debunk mind games.”

last notes

Paki Vlassopoulou, Xrysanthi Koumianaki and Kosmas Nikolaou created a unique artwork.

wheel, schoolbag and skive was the start of a great collaboration between Create an Accident and 3 137 artist run space.

as Create an Accident, we are grateful for this special moment and delighted that this project was part of our concept Myth PhD (Play hence Destroy).

in a few days we will return with a full presentation of the project.

until then, we say goodbye with the last notes of Paki, Xrysanthi and Kosmas.

a perfect ten

Paki, Chrysanthi & Kosmas share their last thoughts, ideas and references on wheel, schoolbag, skive, a few days before their final presentation!

imperfect – incomplete
something that is not perfect, complete
an open possibility, available for completion by an observer

nadia comaneci in 1976 achieves a perfect 10 in Montreal’s Olympics …
a childish body will slip perfectly between uneven bars and beam
and will perform perfectly and gracefully the floor exercises

the little nadia is the symbol of perfection
a small ambassador in the western world

today, 30 years later, a look at the recent past
may confirm the folk wisdom that urges us not to make plans·
long-term projects usually overturned

bemused in a fluid environment
we construct “a stopping time”, a treaty game
that facing our identity in a bitter and funny way,
while waiting in line for the next batch

It’s play time!

The artist run space 3 137 begins its one-off events and responds to Create an Accident’s invitation to create a game.

Being inspired by the Create an Accident’s thematic for the season 2012-2013 Myth PhD (play hense destroy), Paki Vlassopoulou, Chrisanthi Koumianaki and Kosmas Nikolaou produce a peculiar happening.

wheel, schoolbag, skive is a game, an attraction escaped from a theme amusement park , distorted from their discussions lately. Product of their childhood decades’ illustration, it encounters the way they consider their position opposite to what is happening today; it is one broken system, a switching machine. Otherwise, wheel, schoolbag, skive can be either just a time of amusement or a pause of time.

Paki, Chrysanthi & Kosmas share their thoughts, ideas and references on wheel, schoolbag, skive!

It was like a fairytale..

Music, disco, gigs, punk revolution, Olympic Airways, 3rd way of socialism, the announcement of the construction of Disneyland-­Paris, television, infinite TV series, Joan Collins and Santa Barbara, YBA’s (young british artists).

After all, we suddenly faced an awkward broken system.
Ready to act, but at the same time surrounded by a chaotic situation.
Was that chaos always been there?

We are about to make an attraction that reflects our skeptical point of view on our everyday life. Wheel, Schoolbag and skive is a situation game which attempts to give the opportunity to distance from nowadays difficulties and bring to front our recent past memories.

We are ready to play on 14 Dec. 2012, but first lets take some time…
